Salary: $10.10 per hour

General Summary:
The Multimedia Student Specialist provides support to the Multimedia Coordinator to include developing and implementing targeted communications and advertising content for a variety of media platforms. This position will also assist with research, write, proofread and edit all content involving video, audio, and photo. This position will report to the Multimedia Coordinator and be apart of the Creative team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in accredited college or university
  • One year experience in multimedia content creation
  • A clear understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud at least at an intermediate level to include Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, and After Effects
  • Photography experience and knowledge of DSLR cameras
  • Video experience: conceptualizing stories, storyboarding, location scouting, audio, editing, and distribution

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed college photography classes or some sort of photography courses
  • Knowledge of drones and drone photography/videography
  • Product photography experience
  • Experience filming interviews and questioning interviewees
  • Experience in 2D and 3D animation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors exposed to various weather conditions, potential allergens, elevated noise levels, and heat
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with clients and staff positively and professionally
  • Knowledge of basic office software and instructional program
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines

Equipment:

  • Standard office equipment: computer, keyboard, multifunctional printer, telephone
  • DSLR camera and videography equipment

Notifications:

  •  This position may require 25% or more travel within local parameters (i.e. Bryan-College Station area)
  • This position allows for remote work as approved by supervisor
  • Must have a flexible schedule; willingness to work after hours and occasional weekends
  • This position will require the completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement between the employee and company

Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

  • Research and suggest photo and video opportunities
  • Shoot photos and video at our fabrication laboratory and other Safe Tech events
  • Work closely with social media and website staff on messaging and strategy
  • Assist with organizing photo shoots, such as scheduling, scouting locations, organizing camera equipment
  • Edit photos and video to ensure professionalism, appeal, engagement, and project timelines and expectations
  • Tag, archive, and share images with project managers; manage the division’s photo repository
  • Attend creative staff team meetings and work as part of our team to achieve common goals
  • Weekly meetings with the Multimedia Coordinator to discuss new multimedia content ideas and projects
  • Other duties as assigned
